HAPPY HALLOWEEN (let's pretend I said that in a ghoulish, spooky tone). I hope everyone has a safe, but fun day and night. Be sure to treat yourself to a piece of candy or two... or three or four. This holiday comes around once a year after all. We might as well make it most of it. The candy can't go to waste!
Anyway, all tricks and treats aside, I wanted to share 5 tips and essentials for productivity. I oftentimes get asked how I juggle school, work, fitness, and everyday life. Below are some of my go-to strategies. They help me keep my head on straight, my stress levels low, and my drive to work hard every day high.
Have a Great Halloween, Everyone!
1. Clear your Mind
Make it a point to do something every single day to keep your mind clear and focused. I, for example, enjoy getting up in the morning and squeezing in an hour workout before starting my day. It's an opportunity to work on and better myself. It's a time to prepare for the day's tasks and prioritize. Working out increases my overall preparedness and confidence. It decreases my stress too.
2. Keep a Team Player
Typically, I operate well on my own. Although I appear as an extreme extrovert, I'm actually very introverted and enjoy keeping to myself or doing the majority of things on my own. However, on the days when things get tough, it's important to have a handful of people that you can rely on or turn to. I rely on all of my #crazybagelladies for strength. They are my coworkers by day and my best friends by night.
3. Plan, Organize, Strategize
Is anyone familiar with the manta, "If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail? As cliche as it sounds, it's the freaking truth! When you forgo planning and scheduling, then you forgo productivity and deadlines. Keeping a planner and a list of tasks helps me stay on top of the game and helps me stay as stress-free as possible!

4. Take Breaks
This is one that I struggle with. I have a "go, go, go" mentality and I usually don't shut it down until my mind literally shuts down... which is no bueno. I've recently made it a point to take a 10 minute break for every 60 minutes of steady work. Sometimes I make a snack. Sometimes I stretch. Sometimes I check in on social media. Whatever I feel like doing for 5-10 minutes, I do, but then I get back to work. It's easy to get stuck in the non-stop work rut, but it's also easy to get stuck in the not-work-at-all rut. Find a happy balance.
5. Fuel, Fuel, Fuel
And no. I don't mean fuel with caffeine. Albeit, I am the queen of coffee posts lately. We can all have our coffee, but we all have to make sure that we balance it out with some wholesome, nutrient-dense foods too. Some of my favorite meals and snacks can be found here. Oh, and don't forget to hydrate too!
