I apologize once again for the impromptu disappearance from my post yesterday! Sometimes life just gets so jumbled and mumbled that you simply can't keep up with all of the things that you love dearly. We are only human, after all!
With that being said, I have been waiting since Tuesday to fill you guys in on my first day at Sweet Note Bakery! Goodness, I don't even know where to begin. I guess I'll start with the fact that I am so truly blessed to be working with such a loyal, rewarding company.
Sweet Note is undoubtedly going to be a place for me to to grow and develop as an individual. Although it is a great way to make some extra college cash, I'm not focused on the monetary reward that comes from working with this place as much as I would at any other job. Not something you'd expect from a girl my age, right?
I am doing what I love. I am making food that is wholesome and nutritious and delivering it to people. I am engaging with other companies as a marketing representative and building my skills as a professional business woman would. I am helping my boss and already beloved partner, Michelle, build Sweet Note Bakery into a national company that will someday be seen in every market and pastry shop. As you all know, I live by the quote "If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life" (Unknown), and I find myself applying it more and more every single day.
But most importantly...
I am working in a positive, driving atmosphere that is helping me keep my future goals intact. As you all know, I'm a girl who strives to maintain a happy, healthy life and loves surrounding herself with like-minded people. While doing production the other day, we were all discussing ideas and thoughts. We were utilizing each other to develop future plans for the bakery. We were working cohesively together to figure out how to achieve goals and make Sweet Note the best it can possibly be. It wasn't just Michelle, the owner, figuring things out of her own. She truly values her partners' opinions and therefore includes us as much as possible, which certainly makes her team unique. Please check out a blog post directly from my boss' heart, which I hope will convey the overall mindset of the bakery.
All things considered, Sweet Note is the ideal place for me to work in right now. It is helping me configure my own life goals and helping me discover my talents and strengths. I wait to see where this place takes me. I can't wait to see where this place takes us. Sweet Note Bakery is becoming the wish my heart made.
And now to conclude today's post!
I have some of my on-the-go eats! When you're cramped for time, eating healthy may be a little difficult, but when you follow posts like Carlyn's, it becomes super-duper simple! Check it out!
Overnight PB & Banana OIAJ topped with extra bloobz for extra antioxidants!
Spinach salad topped with quinoa, tempeh, cherry tomatoes, and my own dressing made of liquid aminos and Greek yogurt!
Spinach salad (again, it was so delish!) topped with sriracha, cherry tomatoes, cinnamon-roasted acorn squash, and baby carrots! I loved my little bento box.
And that wraps up today's post! I'm off to work for the day. I hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Day Weekend! Stay safe!
What are your favorite on-the-go eats?
