I have a lot of totally random things I want to fit into this blog post today, so I figured: why not participate in one of Clare's usual "Five Things Friday" posts? Thanks, Clare, for hosting!
1. The FreckledNettles Giveaway
Did you miss yesterday's post? If so, no problemo. Today is the last day to enter my Vemma Health Shop giveaway! Entering is super simple, so please take the time to enter and for your chance to win! I'm very excited to give my first nutritious, delicious gift to one lucky fit-friend.
I'm looking forward to doing another giveaway sometime soon! Keep an eye out!
2. Finals, Finals, Finals
Yes, I am one of the many students who are currently being consumed by the big, the bad, and the ugly: final exams.
With that being said, there are a few links that I stumbled upon this past week that certainly helped me remain focused. I hope they do the same for you too! Even if you're not currently in school, check these links out anyway. They're great for relieving stress at any stage in time!
And of course, if you love coffee as much as I do, this is for you. I always enjoy having a few cups while studying.
3. Hot Yoga
If you recall from one of my earlier posts, I was curious about a few fitness classes and was hoping to try some of them sometime soon; one of the classes that I specifically mentioned was Hot Yoga. Well, guess what! Tomorrow will be the day that I begin my new job with the Dana Hot Yoga studio! Yes, a job! I saw the opportunity to join their team (with or without experience) and jumped on it. The key to learning new things is actually doing, after all.
Tomorrow's Grand Opening will mark the beginning of a new journey for me. I am so thankful to be working with such an inspiring, motivating, and growing team. For a girl who strives everyday to live holistically, this is perfect for me. I couldn't ask for a better opportunity.
4. Mother's Day is Around the Corner!
So I was doing my daily blog browsin' and came across a great deal from Erica over at EricaFinds! Thanks to Cleverbug, there is now a No Mom Left Behind promotion going on! It is especially great for those who may be financially cramped or simply have too much going on to make it to a Mother's Day brunch!
After I wrapped up yesterday's heartfelt post, I came across this article that inspired me to chase my dreams and goals even more so. I know that I personally am one to say "Yeah, but..." sometimes, so this post really struck me. I am trying to stray away from ever doubting myself or my aspirations. I don't ever want to think that one of my goals are "too big" or "too difficult to achieve." No one should ever have that mentality. Do you think that people such as Bill Gates or Oprah Winfrey got to where they are today by doubting themselves? Certainly not. Anyway, although Goin's post specifically refers to traveling, I know that it implies so much more. He reinforces the idea that self-doubt creates mediocrity. He reinforces the idea that self-doubt sets you up to miss opportunities. Never let the thought of "what if?" set you back.
I nearly let my own fears of leaving home stop me from going to Scotland this fall, but articles like Goins' kept me from backing out.
See? Told ya I had a lot of random things! Be sure to check back tomorrow to find out if you are a winner of the first-ever FreckledNettles Giveaway! Happy Friday!
Do you have any plans for Mom this Mother's Day? If you are a mom yourself, are you asking for anything specific for your special day?
Did you ever let a fear stop you from trying or doing something?
