I've been on the hunt for allergen-friendly, travel-friendly, and delicious snacks lately. If you're someone like me who is always on the move and always HUNGRY, then today's post is for you. Keep scrollin' to find some of my latest health foodie finds! From #paleo bars protein packets, I have definitely founds some winners.
_I've had my share of vegan proteins (see previous protein posts here and here), but I have to say that PlantFusion is one of the best. It comes in five different flavors: vanilla, chocolate, chocolate raspberry, cookies n' cream, and natural. PlantFusion also offers a protein called Phood, which is more of a meal replacement. I'm not generally one to drink my calories, but I'm definitely willing to make an exception, especially when I'm traveling.
Ever since I found Steve's Paleo Goods, I have fallen in love with all snacks paleo. I recently found Paleonola, another delicious, grain-free brand that makes one thing: granola! It comes in five different flavors, but I only had the chance to taste three. The chocolate flavor was my favorite. No surprise. I may have gotten a little cray cray and drizzled a bit of Sunbutter on top of the Paleonola. #noshame
Warning: it's extremely hard to have more than one handful. Portion wisely. Eat at your own risk.
Barney Butter is another spread that I attempted to drizzle on my Paleonola. However, I stopped myself and saved the almond butters for other things such as my morning oats, lunchtime smoothies, or nighttime mugcakes. I had the chance to sample all Barney Butter flavors. From Smooth and Crunchy to Cocoa-Coconut and Vanilla Bean-Espresso, this brand has all the flavors you can imagine. My favorites were the Vanilla Bean-Espresso and the Raw Chia Butter.

Next up: Mamma Chia. I've seen this brand pop up everywhere lately. They're in Whole Foods. They're in Target. They're in just about every food store I shop in! I had to give them a try. Although Mamma Chia is known for more than their chia squeeze packets, I started with them. Just like the Ella's Kitchen baby food packets (don't judge), I love the convenience and taste of Mamma Chia. I know that I am not selling myself short during snack time.
Last but not least, I have two travel-friendly bars to share. First, LARABAR. I am completely and irrevocably in love with these suckers. I generally snack on the Apple Pie, Cashew Cookie, or ALT Lemon Pound Cake flavors (my local store doesn't have a large selection), but I finally discovered all of their seasonals. Jackpot! I naturally broke into the Pumpkin Pie flavor, then into the rest.
Needless to say, they hit every single flavor right on the head. Just as I suspected!
Second, Epic Bar. Has anyone ever heard of this brand? Like Mamma Chia, I also noticed them more frequently in Whole Foods and other natural food stores. Bison Bacon Cranberry? Beef Habenero Cherry? I'm not one to knock something until I try it, especially since I'm all about those #strangebutgood combos, but I have to admit that I was reeeeeal skeptical of these bars.
I tried the Turkey Almond Cranberry Bar, and it was pretty good. It's basically a thick strip of beef jerky with a hint of sweetness from the cranberries. I was a happy camper! My stomach was too.
Many thanks to all of the brands who contributed to this post!
