Today's MIMM is a rather bittersweet one. It's the last post that I will ever make as a first-year college student! :') As I said in last week's post, time is certainly flying quicker than I'd like it to. It really feels as if it was just yesterday that I was moving into my dorm, nervous as ever, with the slightest idea of how much my life was about to change. Now I'm packing up my dorm and packing up my memories as a freshman at AU. I have grown, mentally and spiritually (and hey, maybe even physically), so much over these past 9 months. With that being said, I am going to put a little bit of a twist on today's post and weave in the three marvelous things about my freshman year, well as many marvelous things that happened this past week.
What can I say? I just have too much that I want to share with you guys!
Learning that complete strangers can someday turn into some of your best friends. I've gained several invaluable friendships over this past year, and I couldn't be more thankful.
Taking the trip of a lifetime and making some of my most cherished memories.
And finally, learning my place in this world. I discovered who I am as a person and what I want in life. I discovered my true passions, my true values, and my true perspectives. I discovered Brittany Nettles, and it couldn't have happened without the help of AU.
(insert smooth segue here) And now for the marvelous things that happened this past week!
Marvelous is...A quick shot before class began!
A successful Dana Hot Yoga studio grand opening! I can already tell that the classes are going to very challenging. I have never taken a yoga class before, so I am literally learning new moves as the classes are in-session! Fortunately, I am up for the challenge because Hot Yoga is something that I am really looking forward to embracing and practicing regularly. The Dana Hot Yoga family is truly a great group of people surround myself with.
And, unfortunately, not getting a chance to spend some quality time with my dad this weekend, but still getting quirky text messages like these. He knows the way to his little girl's heart.
Yet another successful Sunday shopping trip to Whole Foods with mom!
Balancing out a very challenging workout with some very delicious dark chocolate! I had to satisfy my sweet-tooth some way!
So three more short things to wrap up today's post! :
Let's Make this Week Marvelous
