Rise and Shine... It's Recipe Time!
Recipe Tuesday seems to be a growing trend of mine.
Hey, it adds some spice to the weekday mix, correct?
This week I have another breakfast recipe to share!
As you all know, I am a total crazy lady when it comes to oatmeal. From Apple Pie to Chocolate Chunky Monkey oats, I dive right into it all. Would you believe me if I told you that I have had a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast every single day for the past month?
And would you believe me if I told you that I would
give an arm and a leg to have breakfast two meals in a row? Nope, no shame. Don't judge.
So, without further adieu, and without further confessing my love for breakfast, I'd like to share my latest breakfast recipe! I have been on a serious fall flavor kick lately, so I thought this would be another perfect way to put my love for pumpkin into play. I also thought that this would be the perfect way to kick off the month of October!
Pumpkin Spice Egg White Oatmeal
By: Freckled Nettles
Prep Time: 3-4 Minutes
Cook Time: 5-6 Minutes
Directions: Prepare oat bran according to the cooking instructions provided on package. When oats have about a minute left to cook, add in egg whites. Stir quickly. In a medium-sized bowl, mash half of the banana, then add spice, puree, and sweetener into the same bowl. Mix well. When the oats are finished, combine them with the pumpkin mixture. Mix well again. Finally, top oats with extra cinnamon (optional) and a dollop of nut butter! Enjoy!
I'm off to the bakery for my usual day of production. Here's to a great Tuesday and an even better month! <3
What's your favorite flavor of oatmeal?
