A friend of mine, Ali, gave me a book to read this past week: Creative Visualization
by Shakti Gawain. Not only does Ali know that I'm a total sucker for literature like this, she knows that
I look to improve myself every single day and knows that I turn to anything and everything
to help me do so. This book was just the thing I didn't even know I was looking for.
Gawain explains how to produce positive changes in one's life. She explains how to
rely on intuition to create prosperity.
Needless to say, I received Creative Visualization at the perfect time. It kept me occupied during my
flight to Chicago. It gave me a running start on my summer "to-read" list.
If you don't have a list of literature that you want to read, then I highly recommend starting one.
Channel your inner nerd, if you will. Reading helps in so many unconventional way.
Okay, end teach preach. 😋
If you read yesterday's post, then you know that I'm striving to find my inner peace.
By doing so, I'm genuinely getting a feel for the things that I desire, the goals that I want to
accomplish, and the overall person that I want to become. After last month's chaos, I'm
finally screwing my head back on straight and realigning my vision. It feels damn good.
I want to create my own success. I want to create my own happiness. I want to create the life
I have always imagined, as cliche as it sounds. Gawain's words are truly something, and I encourage
anyone with an extra 15 minutes here and there to pick up this book and give it a read. It's very simple,
and it reinforces the things that I think all of us already know deep, deep down. As much as I want to
say that Gawain is teaching me new things, I think I already knew the concept of creative visualization all along. It just took hard literature to put it into perspective and help me understand it.
