So, I'll be 110% honest.
When I was approached by Blue Polo to do a post about juicing and such,
I was a bit hesitant. As many of you should know by now, I'm not one to drink my
calories. I very much enjoy eating them. :)
However, I figured that I should be a bit more flexible from time-to-time
and be a bit more open to new things... even if it did require giving up a bowl of oatmeal
*gasp* or a delicious PB&J sammich. Alas, as tough as it was to skip my usual
bowl of oats for breakfast, I am very glad that I decided to give juicing a shot.
Not only was the juice recipe absolutely divine, it opened up a new door for me
and for those around me. Dad enjoyed it too!
The first recipe that I tried can be found here.
I tried something a little less-daring and a little more comforting.
I wasn't quite ready to tackle the greens and such yet.
OF course, once I realized that this whole juicing thing can be fun, I
pushed myself to try another recipe that did include some more greens.
The second recipe that I tried can be found here.
If you love ginger and love beets as much as I do, then you will love this recipe too!
Plus it's guaranteed to still be in the fridge come lunch time.
This made me laugh.
So, although I'm not one to follow a juicing diet, I am one to enjoy a
glass of homemade juice from now on. Dad is too! We both definitely prefer solid
foods in our diet. If you would like to give juicing a shot for yourself, check out some
